Job Description

The Phlebotomy team at North Manchester General Hospital are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the existing team.

This is a fast paced multi departmental service delivered across seven days and public holidays.

Duties will include blood sampling for patients on all acute wards, providing a service to the very busy and demanding blood sampling room, and for patients attending clinics of varying specialties.

Previous phlebotomy experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidates.

Successful candidates may be asked to attend the Quality and Credit Framework Unit 48, Level 3 Venepuncture course prior to undertaking any practice as arranged with Trust Education Department (if you have completed venepuncture training outside the Trust) Practical assessments will be carried out in the work place.
