This role within the Organisation Effectiveness & Talent team is accountable for the end –to- end management of executive search activities across one or more of BT’s Business Units.
You will successfully influence BT’s senior executive stakeholders to establish the critical talent requirements for the organisation both for now and for the future organisation, setting not just following the market.
To do this you’ll source, establish and maintain robust, diverse and dynamic pipelines of internal and external talent, as well as create role specific market maps, longlists and shortlists, driving insight led decision making that underpins our diversity and inclusion ambitions across BT Group.
Working in the Organisation Effectiveness and Talent team means you will also collaborate closely with the Talent team to develop action plans to establish succession strategies and benchmarks that place the strongest and most diverse talent into key roles eithers through internal appointment or external recruitment.
Location - London
- Operate as a Subject Matter Expert for Executive Recruitment at BT, working with the Senior Leadership Team and the wider HR community to identify future talent needs and ensure we have the competitive intelligence internally and externally to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Create, own and develop the search strategy for your functional domain and recommend the best approach for current and future business needs.
- Define, design and implement leadership recruiting programs and search engagements for a variety of leadership roles. This includes understanding and mapping the talent landscape, translating this into a sourcing and assessment strategy and identifying, sourcing and attracting emerging, established and diverse talent for the requirements.
- Lead robust, fair and seamless interview processes ensuring all parties are informed, engaged and have a personal, simple and brilliant experience – from hiring manager to candidate.
- Drive true diversity across BT via diverse candidate slates from broad backgrounds and sectors, challenging traditional thinking and ways of working.
- Ensure a ‘white glove’ candidate experience to all candidates, internal and external, championing a candidate-led culture from initial engagement to on-boarding.
- Create and maintain extensive connections in the external market place and adjacent industries.
What we would like to see on your CV
- Experience of working with executive search providers, including running pitch processes, negotiating fees, ensuring highest levels of service to the business and diverse candidate slates as well as supporting the offer stage with candidates from an internal process perspective.
- Executive search expertise gained from working in an in-house executive recruitment team or for an executive search firm, including devising and executing research strategies, market mapping and passive candidate identification and attraction.
- Experience influencing and guiding senior leaders and candidates through the recruitment process including executing executive searches end-to-end, leading multi-stage interview processes, negotiating complex offers and providing insight and expertise to Executive Reward.
- Experience of using commercial understanding, market insights and organisational knowledge to influence understanding of, assessment of and engagement of the highest and most diverse quality of talent pipelines and hires, aligned to an organisation’s purpose, ambition and strategy.
- Experience of developing and maintaining an extensive network of both internal and external contacts at executive level.
