Description:
Markon is seeking energetic, motivated entry-level engineer or architect to serve as part of an integrated construction project management team in support of the Project Controls Division (PCD) of the Engineering and Construction Management (ECM) Division of Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Will start with project document, submittal, file, and RFI management; gain exposure to Quality Control/Assurance processes; and learn project controls (scheduling and estimating).
- Review plans and specifications, material cut sheets, and other construction documents.
- Involved in the construction management and project transition/close out processes.
Required:
- Education: Bachelors of Science (BS) in an Engineering Discipline, Construction Management, or Architect (Minimum)
- Computer Software Experience: Expert in Microsoft Office and Outlook (Minimum); Proficient in CAD, Visual Rendering, Photoshop, GIS and other Engineering Software (Preferred)
- Excellent Verbal and Written Technical Communication; Strong Analytical and Engineering Problem Solving; Effective Customer and Client Service
- Must be able to pass a finger-print, Public Trust background check
Desired:
- Professional Registration: E.I.T or seeking architecture licensure Preferred but not required)
