Job Description
This position assists with the daily delivery of furniture to customer’s homes. This involves driving our delivery vehicle, Ford E450, as well as staging, inspecting and loading the delivery truck in preparation for deliveries. You will be required to assemble furniture, and provide general maintenance of the warehouse and general upkeep of the delivery truck . You will be involved, on occasion, with the transfer of product between the warehouse and showrooms, as well as assisting with merchandising, and occasional projects as requested. This position involves heavy lifting. You will be required to wear a uniform as well as steel toed boots.
The successful candidate will be customer service oriented, neat in appearance, possess a G license with a clean driving record. You will possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills, a strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, and a positive attitude.
Minimum education required is a high school diploma. This position entails occasional/seasonal weekend work. Hours per week vary seasonally; on average 32-40 hours per week.
Previous delivery experience is an asset. Proof of insured experience driving a heavy truck is essential. A driving abstract must be provided.
