Job Purpose:

This role will work within the NPAS Shared Services Business Readiness team, reporting to the Business Readiness Lead, and will support projects within the NPAS Programme. The purpose is to plan and execute all change management aspects of a particular project (including communications, stakeholder engagement, training, UAT, pre-cutover activity and through post go-live support). The successful candidate will have significant experience of working with multiple impacted user types, from BAU internal resources to third party clients, to direct consumers in a complex programme structure


  • Provide change management leadership and delivery support
  • Partner with project manager, business leaders and Sponsor, to ensure that change management is built into thinking and planning
  • Identify change impacts, highlighting risk to project success
  • Understand in detail all the stakeholders impacted by the change
  • Liaise with external organisations, including but not limited to solution providers, technology partners, consultancies to ensure coherent approach to training delivery.
  • Work directly with business teams in identifying and managing anticipated resistance to change
  • Prepare affected business areas for transition to new ways of working
  • Support post go live activities as per the agreed support model
  • Liaise directly with other Project teams to understand key project objectives, influence specific training and general business readiness activities.
  • Ensure cross-programme business readiness dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
  • Align business readiness plans with other Shared Service plans for IT readiness, Testing & Data migration to ensure a seamless delivery and minimise business disruption
  • Support UAT and ensure users are ready to test the required applications
  • Support Comms and Engagement and training activities to ensure users are aware, ready to accept and capable in accepting the agreed changes

Skills and Experience Specification:


Essential:

  • Over 5 years in business change delivery experience
  • Collaborative and diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels of the business
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to competently mediate disagreements and negotiate agreeable resolutions
  • Confident and articulate when engaging business teams
  • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Self-management and planning of your work schedule with a high level of accountability
  • Previous experience in delivering positive demonstrable business change outcomes
  • Ability to influence others and achieve common goals.
  • Exceptional ability to solve problems and think analytically.


Desirable:

  • Guidewire Policy centre implementation experience is desirable
  • Recent Specialty Insurance experience is desirable
  • Experience working with policy administration systems is desirable
  • Understanding of the full policy lifecycle from inception to expiry/renewal/cancellation
