What you'll be doing;
- Being responsible for the management of the Norwood laboratory
- Providing scientific and technical services in support of Plant Operations, Process Control, Environmental monitoring and safety procedures
- You will be responsible for liaising with our customers, internal sales teams dns internal sites ensuring that service providers meet legislative and permit requirements.
- You will be responsible for leading a team of chemists who manage bulk waste reception, sampling and management of the analytical and compatibility of all liquid waste transfers
- Lead and support accident, incident, near misses and hazard / safety concern investigations in line with company protocol.
What we're looking for;
- Relevant degree or HNC within chemistry or related science
- You will have experience of working within a laboratory or technical environment
- You will have previously demonstrated technical and problem solving skills
- Good understanding of COSHH, COMAH, EA Regulations and health and safety processes
- Previous experience in a waste management environment would be advantageous
